Coastline Blog Tour

Well, it is no secret that I am beach obsessed! Living a half mile from the Atlantic ocean is our every day life! When I first saw the sneak peeks of this newest fabric line called Coastline by Sharon Holland Designs for Art Gallery Fabrics I was in love! Sharon was looking for makers to join her Blog Tour and put out the call on Instagram.

(if you are not on Instagram  it’s where the cool creative kids hang out).

I was so honored to be chosen to be among such talent. Be sure to check out the quilt made by Mustlovequilts yesterday she has inspired me to take up quilting! And I am super excited to see what Needle in a Fabric Stash has in store tomorrow! You can find the entire Blog Tour Line up here in case you missed a stop!

Little Lizard King patterns has recently released the Kailua Town dress pattern. The design inspired by a tourist in Hawaii. The perfect beach themed dress and the stunning coastline prints are a match made in Heaven. The dress features a curved knit lined bodice and sleeves with long cuffs. A gathered skirt is complimented with a tiered double ruffle! I knew when I saw these prints that this pattern would showcase these prints perfectly!

There is a wide selection of print choices and color ways in these coastline fabrics check them all out on Art Gallery’s website. I narrowed my selection down to these three prints. I have a special place in my heart for teal!
coastline inspiration The Sandbar Knit is simply soft and stunning in person and a great geometric to coordinate in so many ways. These sweet little birds on the Beachcomber Tide print are a part of our every day beach life. And the Tropical Breeze just calls you to the beach!

I added some details to the dress by showcasing the Beachcomber Tide print as the focal point of the bodice with tuxedo ruffle in the complimenting print!

The birds, florals and seagrass on this print is so stunning so I chose to use it as the  main skirt fabric.  And then all brought back together at the tiered double ruffle with the Tropical Breeze print.

We were fortunate to have a gorgeous February day here on our South Carolina coastline  and my Mermaid loved her new dress!  I am thinking it’s time to change out my accent pillows in the living room so I’m off to browse all the other prints in this line! I hope you enjoy them  too as you get into the ZEN and let your creativity flow!

You never know what you might find along the coastline!

A special thanks to Sharon Holland for the prints. Be sure to follow @sharonhollanddesigns on Instagram there is an amazing fabric giveaway going on!
